The Dave Smith Youth Treatment Centre offers residential treatment services to young people between the ages of 13 and 18 in Eastern Ontario with substance abuse and other related issues. McGill Buckley originally got involved with the centre back in 2000 when Stephen McGill was asked to join the Board of Directors to provide marketing and communications advice.

We quickly became inspired by the hard-working staff and the vital work being done with youth and families in our community and have continued to volunteer our time and talents to write and design a wide variety of communications materials and to help organize signature events. Stephen McGill has served on the board of directors for over 10 years including terms as Vice-Chair and Chair. In 2011, he was named first ever Chair of the newly created Dave Smith Youth Treatment Centre Foundation, which will be raising funds to build an all-new youth residential treatment facility in the west end of Ottawa.
